Metro Detroit is gearing up for the 2024 NFL Draft, which is coming to Detroit from April 25-27th. Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to make their way to the Motor City, making this one of the largest events Detroit has seen in years.

While many of the restaurants and hotels are preparing for fans of the NFL Draft, one restaurant in particular is kicking it into high gear: DraftKings Sports & Social.

Opening it’s first location in Troy on December 1st, 2022, DraftKings Sports & Social was immediately deemed the hub of sports entertainment and unique dining in the city, becoming the first of it’s kind in the entire state. It’s the first cobranded collaboration in the country for Live! Hospitality & Entertainment’s Sports & Social concept and DraftKings, a fantasy sports contest and sports betting company.

Whether you are a sports enthusiast or not, you would be hard pressed to find someone not impressed by the powerful and exciting ambiance of DraftKings Sports & Social. After entering the establishment, Mayor Ethan Baker and Tara Tomcsik-Husak, President & CEO of the Troy Chamber, were warmly greeted by Samantha Gruenberg, Sales & Marketing Manager of DraftKings Sports & Social.

“We just want people to know that DraftKings Sports & Social is here and ready for the excitement behind the Draft,” said Samantha.

From there, the official tour began. The 10,400-square-foot space, located at Somerset Collection south, is a premier location for live music, dining, and sports entertainment. The tour started with the lounge, which is used for private events like watch parties, corporate outings, holiday parties, and other private events. The main space boasts a full restaurant, two fully-stocked bars, a 32-foot LED media wall, an outdoor patio with live music, arcade games and more.

Although DraftKings Sports & Social is not a casino (nor is there an age restriction on patrons), guests have access to the DraftKings’ mobile app for fantasy sports and wagering for football, basketball, baseball, and golf.

Perhaps the best thing about DraftKings Sports & Social? It’s family friendly, making the establishment a great option for a night out with the kids, with arcade games to kid-friendly menu items.

“I have had dinner here with my family and we have always had a great experience,” said Mayor Ethan Baker.

DraftKings Sports & Social is not just a restaurant, it is a destination and in honor of the Draft coming to Detroit, they are promoting a special array of appetizers and cocktails, starting April 4th, which also happens to be the same evening as the Troy Chamber’s ‘On the Clock’ Happy Hour.  Troy Chamber Members can register for this special Happy Hour (presented by F.I.T. Financial Group and Trion Solutions) and enjoy some delicious drinks and appetizers.

Then, immediately following the Happy Hour, walk over to Somerset Collection’s North Grand Court to enjoy Visit Detroit’s the “On the Clock Tour.”  This is one of the many NFL themed events throughout the metro-Detroit area leading into the draft. It is complete with food, interactive games, and fun NFL photo ops for the entire family (and don’t forget to do a little shopping while you are there!).

“I always look forward to the NFL Draft. Other than heading downtown, DraftKings Sports & Social is the perfect place to grab a drink and watch the draft picks come in,” said Tara.
